Pendleside Hospice’s Corporate Challenge 2022 see’s nearly 50 local businesses join forces to raise as much money as possible to support the fantastic work the hospice do and ensure they are able to continue to provide life changing services well into the future.
As part of our efforts, Proper Video have decided to try and swap their way from a Pendleside Hospice pen to a target of £2,000.
What is Pendleside Hospice’s Corporate Challenge?
After a painful 2 years off due to Covid19 the Corporate Challenge is back for 2022. Any business can sign up and it is as simple as raising as much money as possible between the 1st of June and the 30th of September. Sponsored by BNI Kudos, each business is given £50 which is there to help businesses buy materials for their event. If you’re holding a bake sale, you can use the £50 to buy ingredients etc.
Why Proper Video chose the swap challenge
Inspired by a recent story on social media that saw a young woman in America swap her way from a hair clip to a house over the course of 5 years, Proper Video thought it would be a great idea to try and do the same to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice.
What is Pendleside Hospice?
Pendleside Hospice exists to promote and enhance the quality of life for people with terminal illnesses, their families and their carers. Most people from Burnley and the surrounding areas will have a tale to tell about how the hospice supported them and their loved ones through the hardest times. However unfortunate this may sound we should take comfort in that we do have such a quality service that cares for our loved ones when they most need it.
To keep Pendleside going it costs £4.5 million per year with £3.5 million needing to be raised through local support and donations.
